(NW corner of Switzer Rd. and 135th Street, 1 mile west of Overland Pkwy - 69 Hwy)
The Hope for America Coalition and the Coalition of Citizen Advocacy Groups (CCAG), in association with a consortium of other organizations, will be hosting a Candidate Debate and Forum for the Kansas 3rd Congressional District seat in the US House of Representatives.
The debate will be held on Saturday, March 20 from 1:00-4:00pm in the Blue Valley Northwest High School Auditorium, 13260 Switzer Road in Overland Park. The first half of the debate will consist of a single question asked of each one of the candidates, with each of the other candidates having an opportunity for rebuttals. After a ten minute break, all of the candidates will be asked questions submitted by YOU, the attendees.
If you had only one question to ask of the candidates, what would it be? Feel free to submit it to questions@hfapac.org; if your question is one of the top 8 as determined by our panel, you will be invited to ask your question from the floor of the auditorium on the evening of the debate. The deadline for submission of debate questions is Monday, March 15.
The following declared candidates have confirmed their attendance (in alphabetical order):
Daniel Gilyeat - Republican Party Nick Jordan - Republican Party Patricia Lightner - Republican Party Craig McPherson - Republican Party John Rysavy - Republican Party David King - Republican Party Jasmin Talbert - Libertarian Party
In addition, if a Democratic Party candidate or any other candidate declares their candidacy at least one week before the Forum, we will extend an invitation to them as well.
This will be the most comprehensive gathering of candidates in one place to date, so we expect a large turnout.
If you wish to attend, please send an RSVP to rsvp@hfapac.org, or you can RSVP at our Facebook event page. Space is limited, and seats will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
We look forward to seeing all of you on the 20th of March in Overland Park!
